Post Re: Nearby Hotels
Thank you! This is so much help for my group! We refused to go to Ninja because of the con being in the same hotel due to the horrid time my group had last year. I hate to see Odyssey at the same hotel next year, but as long as we can stay somewhere else we'll be happy.

That's very useful information, so much thanks :)

to the above poster -
They are definately still in the same hotel for Odyessey and booked there for 2011 to, after that...I honestly have no idea if it'll stay at Sheraton or not.

Sorry you had a bad experience, I really loved the hotel experience at Ninja :o

Anybody staying here:

http://www.hinashville.com/

This Nashville hotel is close to the airport and the MTAC. It looks like a stellar place and its pretty close.

Is the Homestead the same distance as the Embassy?

Homestead is down the road while Embassy Suites is right across the street. The walking distance isn't quite the same as the road difference. Haven't walked it myself, so I can't really say.

Judging from the map, it looks like when driving, Homestead has a slight advantage (c. 2500 feet vs. c. 3000 feet) but if you go cross-country on foot, the Embassy Suites is closer (but that hill is a killer!)

(edit) Making corrections to the map -- the location for Homestead is incorrect in the Google Maps overview!

The Embassy rooms are 2 room suites with a sofa sleep coach... that makes them win in my book.

Shoot the free omlet bar was killer. Dude was working his *** off back there due to all the congoers. That glass roof was leaking pretty bad though. They're lucky they didn't end up with a lake inside like certain other hotels. I wouldn't doubt that next year the ebassy fills up faster than the sheraton. Too bad neither one has free internet but hey the one down the road right off Briley that's $40 a night does. :|
